Yesterday evening, around 5.30 p.m., Oana and I were driving to Caransebeș when we saw a bird walking very close to the road. We stopped to see if it was OK, but after a quick look, I saw that it couldn’t use its left wing. We didn’t think twice: took the bird (which, actually is a very young common kestrel Falco tinnunculus) and called Judith from Milvus to ask her what our next steps should be. Returning home (not actually home-home, but the hamlet we are staying at in Sat Bătrân, Armeniș comune), made a little ”cottage” where to put our young-bird, fed it properly (according to Judith’s guidance) because it will need resources for its trip to Milvus Group for rehabilitation.
If you come across injured wildlife, stop and dont think twice to ask for advice from the Wildlife Rescue Centre in Targu Mureș: http://www.wildliferescue.ro/
