Our colleagues Adi Hagatis, manager the bison rewilding initiative and Sandu Bulacu, bison rewilding expert joined dozens of prominent figures, scientists and researchers in European bison conservation for this year’s European Bison Conservation Centre conference in Poland. Conversations stemmed from challenges faced on the ground by breeding centers, wildlife reserves, parks and rewilding initiatives, looking for ways to learn from one another to analyzing data that highlight the priceless contribution the bison are having on maintaining a diverse ecosystem and mozaic landscape.

Have a look at the crowd and spot one of the most charming bison experts in Europe 🙂

We found this to be quite a strange human-wildlife behaviour, taking place in Russia…

As the conference came to a close, our feeling was that in fact it’s on the ground where the most interesting wildlife conservation lessons are given. So, we invite you to come and encounter free roaming bison in their element and become a tourist on the frontline of our ambitious nature conservation initiative.
